Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - Jeddah business community celebrates 9 years of prosperity under King Abdullah

Over 400 Saudi businessmen, celebrities, and socialites gathered at the Salem Regency Banquet Hall on the eve of 23rd April 2014 to celebrate nine years of growth and prosperity of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the dynamic leadership of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
Jeddah business community's renowned socialite Mr. Ahmed Farooqui, Chairman, Al-Farooqui Media Group, was the event's Chief Organizer and Sponsor. Mr. Saeed Al-Jedani, Abul Ghaida Group, was the co-organizer.
Chief Guest of the auspicious event was H.E Saud Al-Sheikhi, General Manager, Information and Media Affairs Committee, Makkah Mukarramah Region.
Guest of Honour was H.E Dr. Emad Shaat, Consul General, State of Palestine.
Notable Saudi dignitaries and businessmen included: Mr. Saleh Al-Shamrani, Public Relations Chief, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Abdullah Al-Khasrami, Mr. Taleh Al-Fahmi, Mr. Abdul Samad Al-Sulaimani, Mr. Khalid Al-Shehri, Professor Dr. Khalid Bakar, Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Hatmi, and Professor Dr. Mohamed Alawi.
Stars of the event were Saudi Television celebrity Mohammed Baksh, Saudi Football celebrity Mohammad Fouda, and Famous Saudi Artist Hasan Iskanderani.

Expatriate community was represented by Mr. Rohail Khan, Finance Director, Philanthropist and Media Adviser, and Mr. Mansur Shivani, Vice President, Memon Association of Saudi Arabia.
Hosted by well-known artist Mohammad Al-Raye, the four-hour event was well-organized and enriching.
Chief organizer, Mr. Ahmed Al-Farooqui formally inaugurated the proceedings.
"Qirat of Holy Quran" by young Hafiz Yaseen, was followed by the rendering of "Salam Al-Malaki" by folk artist Anas Abul Khair.
The 400+ guests warmly applauded the Qaseeda (poetic recitations) performed by Hamad Al-Ghamdi, Umer Al-Sabban, Khalid Al-Ghamdi, and Dr. Khizer Al-Lahyani.
Chief Guest , H.E Saud Al-Sheikhi expressed: "Saudi nation is celebrating nine glorious years of impeccable leadership of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. Guest of Honour H.E Dr Emad Shaat said: "The Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud stands out as the "role model" for the entire Ummah. He is the pioneer and architect of bringing stability among the GCC countries and the Ummah".
Mementos were awarded to honourable guests as a token of their valuable participation.
The event culminated with "collective dua". All participants offered prayers for the good health and longevity of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and for continued growth and progress of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The event was covered by D.O.P Salim Habib and Emad Iqbal and televised at local and international TV channels.
